Extraordinary Escapes Visit the Maldives with Us! Introducing our New Maldives Luxury Private Island Collection.

I am excited to announce that Extraordinary Escapes is adding a new Private Island Collection to our portfolio. We will be arriving in the Maldives this Friday 14 March 2025 for an amazing two weeks. We will be staying at six of the luxury resorts that we sell including Patina, Ritz Carlton, Soneva Fushi, Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru, Waldorf Astoria and Six Senses Laamu. We will also be experiencing two of the luxury leading Private Islands in the Maldives.

These frequent Maldives resort visits play a critical role in maintaining our knowledge and expertise. Specializing in the Maldives means we need to know everything there is to know. We use these trips to visit potential new resorts to add to our portfolio. We also visit our existing resorts to stay updated with any changes or improvements the resorts have made. We also use these visits to meet with the resort Management and Sales Team to discuss our market and future business opportunities.

The Maldives is made-up of 1190 individual islands and every resort island is very different. Some are boutique islands suitable for a romantic escape while others are larger islands with incredible facilities for families. It is therefore very important for us to experience each resort in person for more than just one night. When we are at the resorts, we are incredibly busy, trying every dining experience and every activity including spa treatments. I must admit, comparing one luxury spa massage to another is a great job to have.

First we will be visiting Patina and the Ritz Carlton resorts. They are both part of the Fari Island Group of Islands and they are located a speedboat transfer from Male. Both Patina and the Ritz Carlton guests can use the facilities on both islands and they share the Fair Island Beach Club. We are excited to visit Patina again and see the improvements they have made since our last stay. We are then visiting the Ritz Carlton for the first time and we are looking forward to discovering this new resort.

Following on from this we travel north to Soneva Fushi located in the Baa Atoll, an Atoll well known for its beautiful marine life. Soneva Fushi was one of our very first resorts and we have many wonderful memories spent there over the years. Soneva Fushi has certainly proved to impress us with remarkable improvements with every visit over the years. From Soneva Fushi we take a speed boat to another Baa Atoll resort, one of our repeat clients’ all time favourites, the Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru. We are thrilled to announce adding on new Private Island experiences and we will be visiting Four Seasons’ Private Island.

Next we take one of the Four Seasons private seaplanes, the flying Boxfish or the flying Triggerfish, back to the North Male Atoll to visit the Waldorf Astoria again. This visit we are here to add on the Waldorf’s Private Island, Ithaafushi, to our Private Island collection.

Our final resort for this visit is Six Senses Laamu located in the stunning Laamu Atoll. We will take their private seaplane, the flying Turtle to reach Six Senses. We are very excited to see some amazing friends we have made there over the years with their incredible staff and Management. We are also excited to see the latest resort improvements and hopefully get to go surfing at one of the best surf resorts in the Maldives.

It wouldn’t be an Extraordinary Escapes Maldives resort tour without ending with dinner at literally our very first Maldives resort I stayed at on a holiday to the Maldives 22 years ago. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to stay there this trip but we couldn’t go home without having the best Indian meal I think I have ever eaten and see their brand new Sunrise Beach Villas. What an ending to an Extraordinary Maldives Escape. Until next time!
