VILLAS

COMO Maalifushi has only 59 very private beach and overwater suites and villas, all with their own pools. The suites and villas have been designed by Japanese architect Koichiro Ikebuchi to merge luxury with an authentic Maldivian Island theme.  All the suites and villas cleverly capture the island’s essence with beautiful natural furnishings reflecting colors of the sea, sand and sky. All suites and villas are built with high rafters, teak floors and Kajan thatched roofs. The beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows and large decks merge indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly.

COMO Maalifushi has three world class dining options, Madi, Tai and Thila. Local sustainable seafood is served as sushi and sashimi at their overwater Japanese restaurant, Tai. Here you can also relax and enjoy stunning views of the Maldivian sunset. Madi’ means 'manta ray' in the local Dhivehi language and features menus inspired by the region’s tropical produce and abundant seafood. Madi is COMO Maalifushi’s restaurant that celebrates flavour and freshness, with beach barbecues, healthy salads, and their signature COMO Shambhala Kitchen is also available at Madi – healthy food rich in living enzymes, vitamins and minerals. Thila Bar provides a relaxed environment with beautiful ocean views, playing chilled island tunes.

The Thaa Atoll is well known for its underwater beauty and rich marine life, including spectacular Whale Sharks. COMO Maalifushi has an incredible house reef and multiple nearby local reefs and dive sites to keep the marine enthusiasts enthralled. COMO Maalifushi are dedicated to conserving the Maldives’ rich marine life and encourage guests to learn more about the Indian Ocean whenever possible. They also share new sightings of whale sharks with Ecocean to aid their cataloguing efforts, and are partnered with Reefscapers to implement our ongoing reef conservation project.

COMO Shambhala Retreat is COMO Maalifushi’s luxury over-water spa and open-air yoga pavilion.
